I've been reading Bill Willingham's Fables comic monthly since issue 6, and one of my favorite characters from the book is Flycatcher. Willingham told a heartbreaking tale of the Frog Prince with James Jean in Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall, and he took center stage for The Good Prince story arc that brought his nobility to the fore.
I was going to design this as a playing card, based on the design of a King, with a broom in place of a sword. That's why the F is in the corner. But I couldn't make it work, so I just cut it in half and went with a portrait.
